Pease, Mark Robinson

Born Tranby House, Hessle, East Yorkshire, 14/10/1892. Son of Colonel, Harold Robinson Pease (1860-1937) and Violet Hector Barkworth (1866-1956) of The Lodge, Muston, Filey, Yorks. He had two brothers and two sisters. He came from a military family and was a Professional Soldier before the war. He lived at 72 Lairgate, Beverley, East Yorkshire (Probate Address).

He served as a British Army Lieutenant, 1st East Yorkshire Regiment, “D” Company. Killed in action at Premesque, near Lille, on 20/10/1914, aged 26. Buried at Houplines Communal Cemetery Extension. his grave inscription, reads, “”I THANK MY GOD UPON EVERY REMEMBRANCE OF YOU” PHILIPPIANS 1.3″

He left £544 in his will to both parents.

His brother, Claude Norman Pease, served as Liutenant, in the Inniskillings 6th Dragoons and Prince of Wales’s Own (West Yorkshire) Regiment
