HE LIVED WITH HIS MOTHER, AT 11, EMERALD AVENUE, CAMPBELL STREET, HULL. A DRAPER’S LIGHT PORTER (1911 CENSUS). HE HAD ALSO WORKED AT MESSERS, C.D. HOLMES, ENGINEERING COMPANY

ENLISTED IN HULL. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 20/04/1915. SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 26/04/1918, AGED 21. HIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 30TH JUNE 1915. *

HE MARRIED, MARGARET BLOOMER, AT AUKLAND, DURHAM IN AUGUST 1916. HIS WAR PENSION WAS LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MARGARET, AT 5B LANSDOWN STREET, DARLINGTON (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).
