MARRIED AT HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, HULL, ON 22/03/1913. HIS WIFE EMMA (MARTIN) & DAUGHTER IRENE E (BORN 30/09/1913), LIVED AT 3 CAMPBELL TERRACE, ALICIA STREET, HULL. HE ENLISTED IN THE “HULL PALS”, ON 17/11/1914, AGED 25 YEARS AND 1 MONTH. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6.5 INCHES TALL, 35 INCH CHEST, AND 132 LBS WEIGHT. SERVED WITH THE 13TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT (EYR), IN EGYPT. ARRIVED FRANCE 8/3/1916. APPOINTED LANCE CORPORAL, ON 04/08/1916. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 13/11/1916, AGED 27.
