Born Middleton-on-the-wolds, Yorkshire, 1895. Son of Henry William Snaith (1848-1904) and Sarah Snaith. He had three brothers and three sister. Employed as a Gardener ( Domestic )
Enlisted Driffield. Served with the 3rd Coldstream Guards, Killed in action, on 15/09/1916, aged 21. Commemorated at Thiepval.
His army effects were left to his mother, Sarah and sister, Ann.
He is commemorated on the Lund WW1 Memorial.
