HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1ST BATTALION, COLSTREAM GUARDS. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/10/1917, AGED 23. COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON ST MARYS CHURCH, LOWGATE MEMORIAL & IN THE HULL TRINITY WW1 REGISTER. HIS SISTER POLLY LIVED AT GARDEN VILLAGE HULL, AND LEFT A MEMORIAM MESSAGE TO HIM (HDM 09/10/1918).
