Husband of Frances Taylor, at 9, William Square, Mason Street, Hull (1911 Census) and 34, Francis Street, Hull (War Pension address). They had four daughters and three sons. He worked as a Bricklayer’s Labourer before the war.
Enlisted 8 Sept 1914. Posted to France, on 10 Sept 1915. Served overseas in the 8th East Yorkshire Regiment and Royal Defence Corps. Discharged with sickness, on 5 Feb 1918. Awarded the Silver war badge (No: 327251).
After the war he worked as a Boilerman, but was incapacitated and unemployed (1921 Census). He died at Hull in 1926, aged 55.
