HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 17/04/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 10/09/1916, AGED 21. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, ROBERT ARCHIBALD TAYLOR.

HE IS BURIED AT BAZENTIN-LE-PETIT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, SOMME, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “THEIR GLORY SHALL NOT BE BLOTTED OUT”.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 13/10/1916. *
