BORN HOLME, SHIPTON, YORKS 1899. ELDEST SON OF ARTHUR STEPHEN THEOBALD TAYLOR. & MARY ELIZABETH TAYLOR, AT 9, MONTROSE AVENUE, KIMBERLEY STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION AND 1918 MILITARY VOTERS ADDRESS).

SON OF A NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY SIGNALMAN AND PORTER. STEPHEN TAYLOR, WORKED AS A CLERK.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 21/04/1917. TRAINED AT RUGELEY AND BRODEN CAMPS AND IN WEST HARTLEPOOL. ARRIVED IN FRANCE, ON 24/12/1917. JOINING THE 1/5TH WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. REPORTED MISSING/KILLED IN ACTION, ON 25/04/1918, AGED 19.

HE IS COMMEMORATED AT THE TYNE COT CEMETERY, BELGIUM. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WENT TO HIS FATHER. HE ALSO LEFT A YOUNGER BROTHER CALLED HAROLD.
