BORN HULL 1892. SON OF RICHARD REDMAN TAYLOR (1855-1917) & SARAH ELIZABETH TAYLOR (1859-1925), OF 1 BLENHEIM TERRACE, WORSLEY STREET, HULL AND 45 ROSAMUND STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). ONE OF EIGHT CHILDREN. SON OF A BRASS FINISHER. HIS FATHER DIED IN 1917. HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A BRICKLAYER, LIVING WITH HIS FAMILY, AT 6 BELGRAVE TERRACE, ROSAMOND STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS). HE ALSO WORKED FOR RECKITTS.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 26/01/1916. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 22462, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2ND SOUTH WALES BORDERERS. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, AT ARRAS, ON 16/05/1917, AGED 25. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 11/06/1917. HE LEFT A FIANCEE ALICE. BROTHERS, WILLIAM, JAMES ARTHUR, ERNEST ANTHONY AND ALBERT EDWARD, AND SISTER, SARAH ELIZABETH TAYLOR.
