Born Lund, Beverley, 1888. Son of Thomas Marshall Teall (1854-1923), and Ann Cross, of Lund, Beverley. He had six brothers and three sisters. Employed as a Waggoner (farm), at Lund (1911 Census).

Enlisted Beverley. Served as Sapper, 190304, 274Th Railway Company, Royal Engineers. Died at Alexandria, Egypt, on 08/12/1917, aged 33. His army effects were left to his father, Thomas Marshall Teall.

He is commemorated on the Cherry Burton, WW1 memorial and on the St Peters lodge , Memorial at Lund, Beverley.
