BORN LEIGH, KENT, 1900. ELDEST SON OF CHARLES & EMILY TUFFIN, OF 12, CLYDE STREET, HAWTHORNE AVENUE, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). SON OF A JOINER. HE HAD ONE OTHER BROTHER, REGINALD.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, 48033, 4TH SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE REGIMENT (SPECIAL RESERVE). KILLED IN ACTION, ON 26/04/1918, AGED 18. COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, CHARLES.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON  05/05/1919, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.
