He married Fanny Partridge (1879-1908), at Hull in 1900.
Enlisted on 9/12/1915. Called up on 3/3/1916, giving the younger of age of 38 years and 4 months. Served in the Royal Aeronautical Society Battalion, Royal Army Service Corps. Discharged as unfit and awarded the Silver War Badge. Died at Doncaster, of an abdominal tumor whilst on service, in England, 20/04/1919, aged 42.
