BORN HULL 1894. ONLY SON OF CHARLES HENRY WALTERS (1870-1940) & JANE ELIZABETH SHEARD (1870-1954), OF 12, WALKER SQUARE, SYKES STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD SIX SISTERS. WORKED AS A PAWN BROKER’S ASSISTANT.

HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED IN THE 1/4TH EYR. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 28/04/1915, AGED 20. COMMEMORATED ON THE YPRES, MEMIN GATE, MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.

HE WAS SINGLE AND HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER CHARLES.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE WALTERS FAMILY MEMORIAL IN HULL WESTERN CEMETERY.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED AS KILLED ON THE SYKES STREET, ROLL OF HONOUR. (Hull Daily Mail 09 October 1916).
