BORN HULL 1898. ELDEST SON OF WILLIAM HARD & ETHEL MARY WATSON, OF 214 ANLABY ROAD AND 1 COLLEGE STREET, BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL.

EDUCATED AT HYMER’S COLLEGE, HULL. BEFORE THE WAR, HE WAS EMPLOYED BY THE YORKSHIRE PENNY BANK. HE WAS A GIFTED SINGER, DANCER AND PIANIST AND PLAYED FOR EIGHT YEARS AT MADAME SHARRAH’S SCHOLL OF MUSIC, HULL.

HE JOINED THE 5TH YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, ATTACHED TO 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 26/09/1918, AGED 20.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON HYMERS COLLEGE MEMORIAL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 08/10/1918. *
