THEY LIVED AT 78 LONDESBOROUGH STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND IVY COTTAGE, WEST CARR LANE, STONEFERRY, HULL (ARMY RECORDS ADDRESS). DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT 7.5 INCHES TALL, 157 LBS WEIGHT, 37 INCH CHEST, AND ‘GOOD’ PHYSIQUE. HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 19/12/1914, AGED 42 YEARS AND 4 MONTHS. JOINED AS 245, 1ST HULL HEAVY BATTERY.
