BORN HULL 1896. SON OF RICHARD ALBERT & MARY ANN WILSON, OF 73 , ARTHUR STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). ELDEST OF THREE SONS. HE HAD TWO SISTERS, ELEANOR AND DORIS. HE WORKED AS A FISH LABOURER, WITH HIS FATHER.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. FORMERLY, TROOPER, 202878, AYRSHIRE YEOMANRY. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2ND ROYAL SCOTS. KILLED IN ACTION ON 14/10/1918. AGED 23. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE YPRES MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING, BELGIUM.

HE IS ALSO COMMEMORATED ON THE ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH MEMORIAL, NEWINGTON, HULL.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER RICHARD. HIS BROTHERS, ARTHUR & JAMES WILLIAM WILSON SERVED AT SAME ADDRESS.
