Born Grimsby, Lincolnshire, 1889. Pte. Christopher Walker WRIGHT, age 28, was the son of Christopher and Henrietta WRIGHT of 27 Albemarle Street, Hull, Yorkshire. He had four brothers and three sisters. His military service number was 37446 and this indicates that he originally enlisted in No. 1 Divisional Ammunition Park CEF in Valcartier QC in September 1914. He transferred to the Canadian Infantry (Eastern Ontario Regiment) and was killed near Courcelette 13 October 1916. He is buried on the Somme.
