Hull Newspapers report that Minnie Storr from 7 Wassand Street ‘died of shock’, on the 29th May 1917, aged 42 years old. She had never recovered from the loss of her son Pte. Arthur Storr, 13th EYR. who was killed on the Somme on the 13th November 1916, aged 21. His body was never found and he is commemorated at the Thiepval memorial to the missing.
