A GROCER’S ERRAND BOY IN THE 1911 CENSUS AND LATER WORKED AS A DOCK LABOURER WHEN HE JOINED UP. HE ENLISTED IN HULL ON 06/08/1915. KILLED IN ACTION ON 04/10/1917, AGED 21. HE WAS UNMARRIED AND HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER JOHN, AND SISTER, ALICE M. SCOTT. EDWARDS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE WALKER STREET MEMORIAL. HIS BROTHER JOHN HENRY COULTAS, EYR ALSO SERVED AT THE SAME ADDRESS.
