FELL OVERBOARD THE ARMED TRAWLER ‘VIOLA’, DURING A GALE, AND DROWNED ON THE 07/11/1914, AGED 42. HE WAS UNMARRIED. LODGED WITH MRS PHILLIPS AT 2 EASTBOURNE STREET. HIS DEATH AND PHOTOGRAPH WERE REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 23RD NOVEMBER 1914, AND IN THE HULL TIMES ON 28TH NOVEMBER 1914, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
