BORN HULL 1895. EDUCATED AT TRINITY HOUSE. A ROYAL NAVAL RESERVIST. HE SERVED WITH DISTINCTION THROUGHOUT THE WAR, ON HM TRANSPORT SHIPS “MANSURI & WAIMANA & WAR WAG TAIL”. HE DIED OF INFLUENZA ON 06/03/1919, AGED 24, AFTER RETURNING HOME A FORTNIGHT AGO.

HIS FATHER CPL. KAY DANBY, 290127, RGA, WHO SERVED THROUGHOUT THE WAR WAS SUFFERING FROM RHEUMATIC FEVER IN RIPON HOSPITAL AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.

HIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS PRINTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 6TH MARCH 1919. *

HIS FATHER DIED ON 2/5/1920OF RHEUMATISM AND ARTHRITIS, AGED 45. (WAR PENSION RECORDS).
