Dennison, Walter

BORN HULL 1897. SECOND SON OF WILLIAM & MARY DENNISON, OF 7, GREEN BANK TERRACE, ADELAIDE STREET, HULL. A TIN CUTTER BY TRADE, LODGING WITH HIS BROTHER WILLIAM, AT 4, BRIGHTON STREET, HESSLE ROAD, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED IN THE “HULL COMMERCIALS”. SERVED WITH THE 10TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT (1ST HULL PALS BATTALION), IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. HE DIED OF WOUNDS ON 22/09/1916, AGED 20.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS SISTER, FRANCES MINNIE, AT 112, GOULTON STREET, HESSLE ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE IS BURIED AT MERVILLE COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, FRANCE. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE ETON STREET MEMORIAL.
