Densley, John Harold Wallace

BORN YORK 24/2/1897. KNOWN AS WALLACE DENSLEY. SON OF JOHN PATRICK DENSLEY (DIED 1921) & ISABEL LEVINA McGANN AT THE ABOVE ADDRESS (1911 CENSUS). ONE OF SIX CHILDREN. HE WAS EMPLOYED AS A NEWS BOY BEFORE THE WAR. ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A SAPPER, IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS. DIED OF WOUNDS ON 22/12/1915, AGED 18. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE BEAN STREET MEMORIAL.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS SISTER ANNIE WILKINSON. HE IS BURIED AT THE LIJSSENTHOEK MILITARY CEMETERY, BELGIUM
