Born 1887. Son of the late Henry Alfred and Emily Dixie; husband of Prudence Hannah Dixie, of 10, Hull Road, Hedon (War Pension address).
An accountant. He married Prudence Hannah Dearnley (born 26/2/1881), at Hull, in 1908. They had one son, Sydney Harold, born on 27/6/1911.
He enlisted at Hull. Served as a gunner in the Royal Field Artillery. Died of Influenza, at St John’s hospital, Hull, on 19/03/1919, aged 32. His army effects were left to his widow, Prudence.
He is buried at Hedon Cemetery, East Yorkshire. His grave inscription, reads, “THE BATTLE FOUGHT A VICTORY WON”.
