BORN LEEDS 10/07/1876. SON OF JAMES WILLIAM ELLISON AND MARY PATTISON, OF YORK. HE SERVED IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE FROM 1908. SKIPPER OF THE TRAWLER ‘TOWHEE’. LOST AT SEA, ON 15/06/1917, AGED 40. HE MARRIED CAROLINE WINDBERG, AT HULL, IN 1900. THEY LIVED WITH THEIR TWO SONS AT 21 ST ANDRES STREET, HULL, AND THIS CWGC ADDRESS LIVED ABOVE. HE LEFT £142 IN HIS WILL TO HIS WIDOW MAUD.COMMEMORATED ON THE CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL.
