BORN HULL 1885. SON OF GEORGE WILLIAM HENRY FEATHERSTONE & JANET FEATHERSTONE, OF 14 NORNABELL STREET, HULL AND 14, MILLERS TERRACE, SPYVEE STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). BROTHER TO LOUISA, GEORGE, ANDRE, ANNIE & JAMES. EMPLOYED AS AN OIL MILLER. HE WAS LIVING AT 31 WALLER STREET, HOLDERNESS ROAD (1911 CENSUS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, WAS KILLED ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME, ON 01/07/1916, AGED 31. HE IS BURIED AT BOISELLES, FRANCE. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER, GEORGE.
HIS NAME WAS RECORDED ON THE ST MARKS STREET MEMORIAL.
HIS BROTHER ANDREW LISTER FEATHERSTONE, SERVED WITH THE EAST RIDING ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY, AND DIED IN HULL IN 1918, AGED 27.
