DIED A PRISONER OF WAR IN GERMANY ON 3/11/1918, AGED 29. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE COTTINGHAM WW1 MEMORIAL. HE IS BURIED AT NIEDERZWEHREN CEMETERY, KASSEL. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “BEYOND RECALL BUT EVER IN THOUGHT”
