HE ENLISTED AT CANTERBURY, ON 19/01/1917, AGED 25 YEARS AND 330 DAYS. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 02/02/1917. SERVED AS SAPPER, WR/505153, ROYAL ENGINEERS, INLAND WATER TRANSPORT. DIED OF INFLUENZA (BRONCHO PNEUMONIA), AT 35TH GENERAL HOSPITAL, ON 01/12/1918. BURIED AT LES BARAQUES MILITARY CEMETERY, SANGATTE, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE.
