Harrison, Harold Edward

BORN HULL 1899. SON OF JOHN WILLIAM & LOUISA BOLLINGHAM HARRISON, AT 10 ST ANDREWS AVENUE, ST MARKS STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS ADDRESS). SON A LAMP LIGHTER LABOURER. HE HAD ONE BROTHER, GEORGE WHO WORKED IN THE LOCAL SOAP WORKS.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 2ND WEST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 24/04/1918, AGED 19.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, LOUISA. HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE ST MARKS STREET MEMORIAL.
HIS ELDER BROTHER, GEORGE WILLIAM HARRISON, 4TH EYR, DIED OF WOUNDS RECEIVED AT YPRES.

HIS STEP BROTHER, LIEUTENANT, BENJAMIN BOLLINGHAM, 21ST AUSTRALIAN IMPERIEL FORCE, WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT YPRES IN 1917.
