HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND TWO SISTERS. HIS HULL ARMY ADDRESS WAS 2 JOSEPH PLACE, YORK STREET, HULL. A FORMER OIL MILLER. HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 23/03/1917. ARRIVE DIN FRANCE, ON 01/02/1918. SERVED WITH THE 2/4TH WEST RIDING REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/03/1918, AGED 19. HE HAD SERVED IN THE ARMY FOR 1 YEAR AND 5 DAYS.

UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOWED MOTHER, GERTRUDE MAUD FOSTER, WHO MOVED TO 90 HODGSON STREET HULL (ARMY ADDRESS) AND BOWSERS LANE, BRANDESBURTON, NEAR HULL.
