BORN HULL 1899. ELDEST SON OF ERNEST REUBEN HASNIP & ELLEN ANN BOOTH, OF SOUTH CAVE, 39, DOCK STREET, HULL AND 59 WELLESLEY AVENUE, NEWLAND, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD SEVERAL BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO DIED IN INFANCY. HE WAS A HULL POST OFFICE WORKER. LIVING AT 108, BRUNSWICK AVENUE, HULL. HE WAS A SINGLE MAN.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED IN THE LONDON POST OFFICE RIFLES. DIED BETWEEN 01/09/1918 & 30/09/1918 AS PER CWGC. RECORDS. LATER CONFIRMED KILLED IN ACTION, ON 21/03/1918, JUST 19 YEARS OLD.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS FATHER, ERNEST.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE ST VINCENT’S CHURCH MEMORIAL, QUEENS ROAD, HULL AND AT ST CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, JARRATT STREET, HULL.
