BORN HULL 14/11/1886. MARRIED HULL 1909. WIFE ETHEL (BIRD) HOLMES ABOVE. SON OF WILLIAM & THEODOSIA HOLMES – 18 LINCOLN ST. SHIP MINED IN THE ENGLISH CHANNEL. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND THREE CHILDREN. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 22ND MARCH 1918, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
