HE WAS SIX FOOT 2 INCHES TALL, BROWN EYES , FAIR HAIR AND COMPLEXION. JOINED COLDSTREAM GUARDS FEB 1900. MARRIED 1902. WIFE MAUDE HARMAN AND DAUGHTER EVERLYN LIVED AT 44 PORTLAND STREET AND 127 , CHILTERN STREET, HULL. SERVED IN THE BOER WAR. DISCHARGED FROM ARMY ON 15/02/1912. JOINED THE HULL POLICE FORCE, WHICH HE HAD TO LEAVE DUE TO A WEAK CHEST. WORKED AS A COOK AND SPENT TIME IN CANADA, WORKING ON DREDGERS.
AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR, HE JOINED THE CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, ON 08/09/1914. WENT TO FRANCE AND WAS WOUNDED. AT THE ARMISTICE HE JOINED THE HULL TRAWLERS. WORKED AS A SHIP’S COOK ON THE BARBADOS, WHICH WAS DESTROYED BY STRAY MINE WHILE FISHING. HE LEFT A WIDOW, SON AND DAUGHTER. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 29/11/1920. *
