Hutchison, David Maitland

Born Glasgow, 1879. Son of Maitland Hutchinson (1847-1925) and Ann Aitken (1848-1915), of Walton Street, Hull (1911 Census).

Married at Hull, September, 1916, aged 37. Husband of Charlotte Anna Parkin (formerly Hutchison), of 17, Crystal Grove, Pulman Street, Hull (1911 Census); 12, Booth Street, Hull (CWGC address) and 12, St Stephens Square, Spring Bank, Hull (War pension address). They had one son – David George Maitland, born 23/12/1917.

He was an Engineer Fitter Labourer.

He enlisted at Hull. Served in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, 1st Garrison Bn. Served in Gallipoli.

Died at Military Hospital, Catterick, of a perforated gastric ulcer, aggravated by war service, on 19 Dec 1917, aged 38.

Buried at Hull Western Cemetery (Grave Ref: 534. 51566). His army effects were left to his widow, Charlotte Anna (1896-1976). She married – James Parkin in 1919.
