HE WORKED AS A RULLYMAN. HE MARRIED AT HULL, IN 1906. HIS WIFE, BEATRICE KEITH (BORN25/8/1883) AND FOUR CHILDREN (GEORGE ROBERT, BEATRICE, FRED, AND HARRIET ELIZABETH), LIVED AT 6, YORK AVENUE, ST MARKS STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). SHE WAS AWARDED A WEEKLY WAR PENSION, OF 28 SHILLINGS AND NINE PENCE, ON 29/04/1918.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 2ND COLDSTREAM GUARDS. WAS KILLED IN ACTION, AT POELCAPELLE, ON 09/10/1917, AGED 36. BURIED IN BELGIUM.
