Leeman, Walter

Born Blyton, Gainsborough, 1877. Son of Walter Leeman;

Husband of Ellen Leeman, of Brigg Road., Barton-on-Humber (CWGC address). They had one son, Walter, born on 15/11/1914.

A former soldier and Reservist. He landed with the British Expeditionary Force, in France, on 21/08/1914. Served with the 1st Lincolnshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 14/09/1914, aged 37. Commemorated on the Marne Memorial, France. His army effects were left to his widow, Ellen.

The newspapers listed reported him as a Hull Casualty.
