McFaul, Francis (Frank)

BORN HULL 1886. SON OF JOSEPH PATRICK McFAUL (1851-1910) & ELLEN FLYNN (1853-1914), OF 43 FRANCIS STREET, HULL.HIS PARENTS HAD MARRIED AT ST CHARLES  BORROMEO CHURCH, HULL. HE HAD FOUR BROTHERS AND THREE SISTERS.

HE WORKED AS A PRESSMAN AND OIL MILLER.

HE MARRIED ETHEL BRIGGS, AT ST CHARLES BORROMEO CHURCH, HULL, ON 08/08/1912. HIS WIFE ETHEL AND FOUR CHILDREN LIVED AT 19, LOCKWOOD TERRACE, LOCKWOOD STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 6TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY, ‘D’ COMPANY. HE DIED ON 12/02/1919, AT ST JOHNS, VAD HOSPITAL, HULL. AGED 32. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ETHEL. HER NEW BORN SON JOHN, ALSO DIED IN 1919.
FRANK McFAUL IS BURIED AT HULL’S HEDON ROAD CEMETERY. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, ” WORTHY OF REMEMBRANCE. R.I.P. FROM WIFE AND CHILDREN”
HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE ST CHARLES BOROMEO CHURCH, WAR MEMORIAL, JARRATT STREET, HULL.
