HE WAS A POLISHER APPRENTICE BY TRADE. HE MARRIED MARY EMMA CORNER IN DRIFFIELD IN 1913. DIED OF WOUNDS AT CANADIAN CLEARING STATION ON 8TH AUGUST 1916, AGED 24. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER IN LAW AND GUARDIAN OF HIS CHILD, WILLIAM CORNER. HIS BROTHER PTE, JOSEPH MARK NALTON, 9723, 1ST EYR, WAS KILLED ON 23RD SEPTEMBER 1914.
