BORN HULL 1894. SON OF FREDERICK PARKER, OF 46 BACHELER STREET, HULL. A FORMER RAILWAY CLERK. HE WAS EMPLOYED BY HULL CORPORATION AS A TRAMWAY DRIVER ON THE HEDON ROAD ROUTE. HE ENLISTED HULL, EX PRIVATE, 22688 EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE TYNESIDE SCOTTISH. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 09/04/1917. HIS COMMANDING OFFICER REPORTED THAT HE WAS STRUCK DOWN BY A SHELL IN THE LEADING WAVE.
HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, MARY E. PARKER, AND TWO CHILDREN, WHO RESIDED AT 4 FERENS VILLAS, ROSEMEAD STREET, HULL
HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE ARRAS MEMORIAL, FRANCE. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 11/05/1917. *
