BORN GLOUCESTER 1896. SON OF GEORGE PROWLIN AND EMILY MARIA PROWLIN, OF 12, MAXWELL TERRACE, MORLEY STREET, STONEFERRY, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE WAS A BUTCHER FOR MR W NEWTON, OF NICHOLSON STREET, HULL AND RESIDED AT 8, CLOVELLY AVENUE, NICHOLSON STREET, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL ON 14/04/1913, AND SERVED WITH THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE TERRITORIALS. HE RE-ENLISTED ON 5/08/1914 WHEN WAR WAS DECLARED, AGED 17 AND 7 MONTHS. HIS ARMY RECORDS DESCRIBE HIM AS 5 FOOT 5 INCHES TALL. HE WAS UNMARRIED. DIED OF TUBERCULOSIS OF THE LUNG, AGED 21. THIS WAS HIS ARMY PENSION ADDRESS. BURIED HULL HEDON ROAD CEMETERY.
