BORN HULL 22/08/1899. SON OF PERCIVAL ROBINSON & SARAH WHITE – 47 WYNDHAM STREET, HULL. EDUCATED AT THOMAS STRATTON SCHOOL, HULL. EMPLOYED IN THE OFFICES OF THE ELLERMAN -WILSON, SHIPPING COMPANY. HE ENLISTED AS A BUGLER, IN SEPTEMBER 1914. WAS DISCHARGED THREE MONTHS LATER FOR BEING UNDER AGE. HE JOINED THE ROYAL AIR FORCE, ON 11/09/1917. RECEIVED A COMMISSION FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS LATER. PRIOR TO JOINING HE WORKED FOR THE ELLERMAN, WILSON SHIPPING LINE. HE HAD RECEIVED HIS ‘WINGS’ ONLY THREE WEEKS BEFORE HE WAS KILLED AT BOURNEMOUTH, IN AN AEROPLANE ACCIDENT. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN 19 YEARS OLD IN AUGUST. HE IS BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY.
HARRY ROBINSON IS LISTED ON THE WILSON LINE CRICKET & ATHLETIC CLUB’S ROLL OF HONOUR. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 28TH JUNE 1918, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *
