Robinson, Henry Spoose

Henry Robinson – HDM 24.03.1915

Born Hull 1891. Son of Thomas & Mary Ann Robinson. Married 1910. Husband of Carrie (Ramsden) at above address. Employed at Blundel and Spence, Hull.

He was based at North Thoresby, Lincolnshire, and was killed in an accident whilst riding in the side car of a motor cycle ridden by L/Cpl. Fletcher of the same regiment. A verdict of “Accidental Death” was returned and the Jury asked that their fees be sent to Henry Robinson’s widow. He died on 18 March 1915 and was buried Hull Western Cemetery.

A report of his death was published in the Hull Daily Mail on 9th April 1915 and the Hull and Lincolnshire Times on 27th March 1915. He was aged 24 and left widow, Carrie (born 1 Oct 1892) and daughter, Frances Lilian (born 19 Feb 1914), at 65, Marlborough Terrace, Beverley Road, Hull (War pension address).
