Thomas Sydney Robinson, CEF

BORN HULL 23/1/1893. SON OF JAMES SAMUEL ROBINSON & ELEANOR (JONES), OF 15 , PENNINGTON STREET, HULL. HE HAD PREVIOUSLY SERVED IN THE ARMY WITH THE KENT “BUFF” REGIMENT.

HE EMIGRATED TO CANADA. LIVED 164 JARVIS ST, TORONTO, CANADA. WORKED AS AN ENGINEER. HE RETURNED TO ENGLAND AND ENLISTED IN 1915 WITH THE BUFFS REGIMENT. AFTER A FEW MONTHS SERVICE IN FRANCE, HE WAS WOUNDED AND DISCHARGED FROM THE ARMY.

HE RETURNED TO CANADA AND RE-ENLISTED AGAIN AT ONTARIO, CANADA.

HE WENT OVERSEAS IN FEBRUARY 1917. SERVED WITH THE 198TH REGIMENT AND 3RD CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. KILLED INA ACTION ON 31/08/1918, AGED 25.

HE IS BURIED IN FRANCE.
