RETURNED TO ENGLAND FOR THREE MONTH. POSTED TO FRANCE AGAIN, ON 27/09/1916. FINED FOR LOSING A PAIR OF WIRE CUTTERS IN THE FIELD. TRANSFERRED TO THE 13TH EYR, ON 11/10/1916. HE WAS CAPTURED ON 13/11/1916. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 18/11/1916, AGED 21. BURIED AT SERRE ROAD CEMETERY, SOMME, FRANCE.
