ERNEST ALSO WORKED FOR THE HULL CORPORATION, AS AN ELECTRIC CAR CONDUCTOR. HE WAS A TRAMWAY MOTORMAN, ON THE BEVERLEY ROAD ROUTE, FOR EIGHT YEARS.

HE MARRIED EVA LE COUTEUR, AT ST MARYS. SCULCOATES, HULL, IN 1914. SHE WAS A SWEET SHOP ASSISTANT, BORN IN JERSY, CHANNEL ISLANDS. LIVING AT 27 FOLESTONE STREET, HULL. THEY LIVED AT, 7, PEMBERTON GARDENS, FOLKESTONE STREET, HULL AND HER FAMILY HOME ADDRESS, 27, FOLKESTONS STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS).

HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE 317TH ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY. SHOT BY SNIPER. DIED IN ACTION,ON 14/11/1916, AGED 25.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON, 30/11/1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.
