SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 04/10/1917. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, ELIZA. HE WAS BROTHER TO WILLIAM, STEAD, SIDNEY, PERCY AND BEATRICE.
