ENLISTED BEVERLEY. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 21848, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 2ND YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 17/10/1916, AGED 24. COMMEMORATED AT THIEPVAL.
