MARRIED AT ST ANDREW’S CHURCH, IN HULL, ON 28/08/1915. HIS WIFE, MARGARET ELLEN BUTTON, AND DAUGHTER ANNA, LIVED AT 20 WARWICK STREET, HEDON ROAD, HULL AND 8 WILKINSON TERRACE, BEAUMONT STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION & ARMY RECORDS ADDRESS).
HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 27/11/1915, AGED 22 AND 2 MONTHS OLD. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 8256, EYR. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 5 INCHES TALL, 120 LBS WEIGHT, 36 INCH CHEST. HE LEFT TWO YOUNG HALF SIBLINGS ARTHUR AND ALICE, LIVING WITH HIS FATHER AT FIELD STREET, HULL.
