BORN DRIFFIELD 1877. SON OF CHARLES EDWARD & ANN ELIZABETH TENNISON, OF 80 WESTGATE, DRIFFIELD. SON OF AN IRON MOULDER/BALCKSMITH. HE HAD THREE BROTHERS AND FIVE SISTERS

HE JOINED THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT IN 1900, AGED 24, AS PRIVATE, 7063. WAS A TINNER’S LABOURER LIVING AT 42 EGTON STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

MARRIED AT HULL IN 1902. HIS WIFE LILIAN NORRIS (BORN 13 FEB 1877) AND TWO CHILDREN, ALBERT AND EVERLYN TENNISON, LIVED AT 10, GRANVILLE TERRACE, SCULCOATES LANE, HULL & 42 , EGTON STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESSES).

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS LANCE CORPORAL, WITH THE 27TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. DIED OF ACCIDENTAL GUN SHOT WOUNDS, WHILE ON DUTY, 21/06/1918, AGED 41. BURIED AT HULL HEDON ROAD CEMETRY. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, LILIAN
