BORN HULL 1984. SON OF ABRAHAM & MARY JANE WATSON, OF 19, FIELD STREET, HULL & 115 , ABBEY STREET, HULL. (ADDRESS FROM CANADIAN WAR RECORDS.)

HE WAS A RESERVIST AND HAD SERVED FOUR YEARS WITH THE HUSSRS. HE WAS EMPLOYED AS AN APPRENTCIE AT MESSRS, ROSE, DOWNS AND THOMPSONS.

HE EMIGRATED TO CANADA IN 1911 AND ENLISTED THERE. SERVED AS A SIGNALLER, IN THE CANADIAN FIELD ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, AT NO: 24 GENERAL HOSPITAL, ETAPLES, ON 20/11/1917, AGED 24.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILYMAIL, ON 29/11/1917. *

HIS BROTHER, ABRAHAM WATSOM SERVED AS AN AIR MECHANIC, IN THE ROYAL FLYING CORPS AND LIVED AT 20 SLOAN STREET, MARFLEET, HULL. ANOTHER BROTHER, PRIVATE, MAURICE WATSON (EYR) SERVED IN FRANCE. ANOTHER BROTHER, PRIVATE, JOHN WATSON (EYR) WAS SERIOUSLY WOUNDED AND HAD BOTH LEGS AMPUTATED AND WAS DISCHARGED IN NOVMBER 1916. GEORGE WATSON, SERVED IN THE MERCHANT NAVY.
